Privacy Policy

The privacy of our visitors is important to us.  We respect absolutley the privacy of your personal information,
and collect no more than is needed to run the site. Here is a list of what types of personal information we receive,
and how we safeguard it.  

We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

  Log Files
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files.  The information in the log files include your IP address, your ISP (internet service provider), the browser you use,  and which pages you visited throughout our site.

 Cookies and Web Beacons
We do use cookies to remember your personal preferences here for you.  

We also have third party advertisements posted by our host. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed.  This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

You can chose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security.  However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites (including the possible inability to login or see some things).

Google uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Its use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads based on the member's visits to The Lizard and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy, here.



NOTE TO SITE OWNER:

This policy must be posted and a link put in the footer of your forum, in order to get the best results in Google searches.
This is a Search Engine Optimization procedure, meaning without it we'd not be findable in a google search at all.

NOTE TO MEMBERS:

I have not done the rest of the work to make us findable in a google search.
It may be ideal for us to be searchable, or it may be best for our privacy to be private! This has not been decided yet.

ALSO: There is nothing sinister about the cookies described herein. They are normal and harmless,  
and Forumotion's been a trustworthy site host for many years.
IF enough members join, I will pay to remove the hosts ads.
(Though if you install an ad blocker in your browser, you wont see them anyway.)
